Are You Hands Free?

Stay connected on the road with the BMW Bluetooth Interface

Connecting a mobile phone to your vehicle via Bluetooth is the safest and most comfortable way to speak on the phone while on the road. This is why BMW was the first automobile manufacturer to introduce the Bluetooth communication standard for mobile phone integration as early as December 2002.

The wireless connection enables drivers to operate their mobile phones via the multifunctional steering wheel, the iDrive Controller or voice control. The mobile phone's telephone book, recent calls and other data is synchronised with the on-board computer and can be accessed via the radio display or the on-board monitor.

Vehicle Maintenance FAQ

What is the difference between wheel alignment and wheel balancing?

Wheel alignment and Wheel Balancing are two totally different things, but many people often get them confused.

In a nutshell, Wheel Alignment consists of adjusting the angles of the wheels so that they are perpendicular to the ground and parallel to each other. The purpose of these adjustments is maximum tire life and a vehicle that tracks straight and true when driving along a straight and level road.

Wheel Balancing, on the other hand allows the tires and wheels to spin without causing any vibrations. This is accomplished by checking for any heavy spots on the wheel-tire combination and compensating for it by placing a measured lead weight on the opposite site of the wheel from where the heavy spot is. Click here for the symptoms of misalignment wheels and balancing issues.
